< P align=left>There are thousands of great science fair projects.  You'll definitely be able to find a project that you'll enjoy putting together.  And you'll learn something while having fun.  Those teachers are sneaky, aren't they?  The topic and originality are important as are the research and display.  To receive high marks your projects must also include a really fine report.

Science fair projects need to have reports that include a title page.  This title page should list the name of the project, the child’s name, grade and school.  Projects at science fair's that receive the highest marks have a report that contains an informative table of contents. The table of contents should list what’s in the report as well as what page all the information is on.

Good science fair projects have an abstract that is part of the report.  The abstract is a short, one page overview of the project that includes the title and a summary of the purpose, hypothesis, procedure and all
the results.

You will find an introduction in these reports as well.  The introduction states the purpose of the project plus all information that led you to choose your particular science topic.

Another aspect of the science fair project report is the list of items and equipment needed for the experiment.  There should be a detailed step-by-step description of the procedures used in the experiment.  The
scientist should record all the variables and how they were measured and recorded as well as the outcome.

Charts and graphs are part of the project reports and there needs to be a short written summary for each chart or graph.  Illustrations or photos should be explained, too.  This is the place to list all data used.

When preparing science fair projects and reports there should be a conclusion that explains how the results were interpreted.  The report needs to list all sources used by the child including written materials and anyone who was interviewed.  Reports should have an acknowledgment page that lists all who helped the child and the capacity in which the help was given.

The best science fair projects contain a thorough, organized, well-written report.
